Inspect & Pre Wash:
Upon arrival of your CJH shipment be sure to thoroughly inspect your product carefully by removing from the packaging and examining each strand. We recommend gently washing and deep conditioning the hair with alcohol and sulfate-free products. By implementing this care regimen before and after installation will assist in the longevity of the product.
Care After Install
Apply a generous amount of Shampoo (sulfate-free and alcohol-free product) to hair and scalp and massage both with the tips of your fingers avoiding the use of fingernails. Work the shampoo from the scalp in a downward motion from the top down. Thoroughly rinse the shampoo out before applying conditioner
Conditioning your extension is vital to the maintenance and longevity of the hair. Following the shampooing process, apply conditioner of your choice avoiding products containing alcohol and sulfate. Gently comb hair with a wide tooth comb, to avoid stripping hair from weft. Thoroughly rinse conditioner from hair with warm water and air dry.
Gently comb or brush hair extensions as you would your own. It is recommended that hair is brushed from the bottom up. Be sure to firmly grab small sections at a time and hold while brushing through the hair. The more careful you treat your extensions, the longer they will last. By firmly grabbing small sections while brushing the hair will support your attachment (weaving, silicone tips, clips etc.).
Hair Care Products:
Use a good (leave-in) conditioner to keep your hair soft. Avoid hair products that contain alcohol which can make the hair very dry. Also remember that many styling products can cause build up over time. It is recommended that a deep cleansing shampoo be used once or twice a month to remove build-up. Build-up can make the hair dry and can cause tangling. Use moisturizers to avoid this problem.
Heat / Styling Tools:
Heat is your hair’s biggest enemy. The more you use on the hair, the shorter the life span of hair extension. Use heat in moderation. Do not use high temperatures. High temperatures can damage the hair, including permanently altering the hair texture.
If you perm, tint, bleach or cellophane the hair, you do it at your own risk. We do not guarantee any hair that has been chemically altered. If you must chemically alter it, then be sure to do a test strand first. This will allow you to test how the hair will hold up to the chemicals. Please read the labels of all hair products carefully. Do not use any of the hair products recommended if you are allergic to the product or to any ingredient in the hair care product.
